Arnold Palmer and GCAA Announce Changes to Arnold Palmer Cup
BRADENTON, Fla. - Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America announced today that beginning in 2018 the Arnold Palmer Cup, a Ryder Cup-style competition that matches the top collegiate male players in the United States against their counterparts from Europe, will expand to include both men and women collegiate golfers chosen from around the world.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Starting in 2016, one of the 20 participants in the annual Palmer Cup matches will be extended an invitation to compete in the Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by MasterCard, tournament officials announced today.
In related news, the event's name will be changed to the Arnold Palmer Cup beginning in 2016.
Founded in 1997, the Palmer Cup is a team match play competition featuring 10 collegiate golfers from the United States against 10 golfers from Europe. This year's event is June 12-14 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. Europe won last year's edition 18 1/2 to 11 1/2 at Walton Heath Golf Club in England. The U.S. leads the series 9-8-1.
